Playing chess has proven to help students enhance their creativity, improve their power of concentration, develop and expand critical thinking skills, boost memory and retention, and achieve superior academic performance.

Come an join our Junior Chess Club every Monday afternoon from 3:30 to 5:00 pm and enjoy a friendly game or a strategic challenge!

$50.00 per 8 week term.

Junior Table Tennis

Table Tennis is an Olympic, Commonwealth Games and Paralympic sport and is enjoyed by all age sectors of the community from Juniors through to Veterans competitors.

Loftus Community Centre Enrolment Day

As part of the Loftus Recreation Centre announcing their new opening hours, the Loftus Community Centre will be having an enrolment day to coincide with this event on Saturday the 28th Of November, 9 am to 12 pm.
We will be taking enrolments for 2016:
  • 3+ Kindy intake
  • School Holiday Programs
  • Playgroup
  • Child Care Co-op
  • Toy Library
  • New Course
  • Room Hire
We will also be holding a sausage sizzle on the day so come on down to get your enrolments sorted for 2016.

Seniors Week 2015 – Active Ageing Expo

The City of Vincent is hosting its second Active Ageing Expo for Senior’s Week 2015 (8 -15 November). The Free Expo will be a ‘one stop shop’ that will provide a combination of guest presenters, entertainment, giveaways and information booths about services available in our local area.

Highlights of the day include:

  • MC Tod Johnston;
  • Presentations by: National Relay Service, WA Police and Stay on Your Feet;
  • Be spoilt with a performance from Mount Hawthorn’s iconic Corner Street Jazz Band;
  • An array of information stalls by local service providers;
  • Free finger food; and
  • Plenty of prizes and giveaways.

The whole day is a celebration of our seniors and recognises the important role they play within our community. An information packed day not to be missed!
